How Much Should YOU Rotate?

So as far as rotation is concerned, you really don’t want a swimmer to rotate more than 40 degrees from horizontal. I absolutely love this picture down below because you can see the swimmer’s breathing.  If you were to look at the body line compared to where the water is; look at the hand versus the water, the water line here, he’s more than 40 degrees. It does reaffirm the fact that when you turn your head to breathe, you have to rotate more than you would normally which causes that imbalance if you’re only breathing to one side.
