Let’s look at some pros. I love Ryan’s Backstroke just because he does such a great job of rotating. He rotates very fast. You can see how the rotation never stops, no matter what’s happening in his stroke, and he just does a great job of going from side to side. So you can see here I always add his maximum point of rotation, up top and then from there as he pulls through and pull to pull through and rotates back to get his maximum point on this side. He may be a little bit of air delayed on getting to that maximum point but he’s hitting his max point for us catch which is how you essentially are stronger and you’re engaging more chest muscles. He has an extremely shallow pull with a nice elbow bend, which you can see in that frame there, which is very picture-perfect from an extra pull perspective. So it’s always a nice thing to highlight.
