At the Freestyle entry it’s important that the swimmers hand is right in front of their respective shoulder, middle finger enters first, and the elbow stay raised high. If the entry is completed well a swimmer will set up to have a great catch, by either keeping the elbow high, keeping the hand straight or somewhat of a hybrid stroke. The final component to finishing out a Freestyle stroke is having an awesome finish with this swimmer’s hand must past their hips almost to full extension before starting into recovery.
